Breckenridge House | Gorgeous Custom Log Home w Amazing Views, Two Saunas, Hot Tub and Cold Plunge!

4 Bedroom House in Breckenridge

Welcome to the Blue River Lodge! This luxurious custom-crafted log home is a rare find complete with a 7-person hot tub, indoor and outdoor saunas, cold plunge (summer only), steam shower, pool table, authentic tipi, multi-level decks (and separate private deck for the master bedroom), two outdoor patios, spacious two-car heated garage and plenty of outdoor parking, big screen TVs in family room and bunk room for watching your favorite sports and movies (and a TV in master and guest BR), wireless high-speed broadband (great for remote working and video calls), acreage, forest and mountain views, and more. The outdoor barrel sauna is in the "spa area" and heated with a woodstove is truly unique and rare to find in a rental home. The cold plunge (available in summer only) holds up to 3 people and is located next to the sauna. The cold plunge has been a great addition to the "spa area" and is loved by those who are into cold-plunging! The dining room has a chairlift (Pallavacini chair retired from A-Basin) at the head of the dining table! Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail in the original gondola from Vail ski resort - fully restored, heated, dimmable lights - located on our front deck! If you are looking for a true Colorado log cabin (more like a lodge than a cabin) in the woods yet want to pamper yourself with the comforts of a luxury spa (and only 10 minutes to skiing and the town of Breckenridge), this is it!
PLEASE READ OUR REVIEWS - YOU WILL SEE THAT WE TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THE LEVEL OF ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED, ATTENTION TO DETAIL SUCH AS QUALITY OF BED LINENS, KITCHEN FURNISHINGS, CLEANLINESS, ETC., AND WE QUICKLY RESPOND TO ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO, AND DURING YOUR STAY.
The spacious living areas include a large great room (living/dining/kitchen), huge master bedroom (King size bed), two guest bedrooms (each with King bed), an oversized bunk room that sleeps up to 6 (two full-size bunks and four single-size bunks, all built-in) and three very spacious full baths to comfortably accommodate three or four couples or families with children. With top of the line furnishings, a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, custom bar, high-quality Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters and pillows, and plenty of living space, you will feel like a guest in a private lodge rather than a tourist in a rental property. Whether you want to relax under the stars in the hot tub after a day of skiing, curl up next to the woodstove with a good book, snowshoe out the back door (6 sets of snowshoes are provided), take a sauna or steam, or shoot a game of pool, this house has everything you need for a perfect Colorado mountain vacation.
Other amenities include DirecTV Stream, high-speed wireless broadband (great for remote working and Zoom calls), wood stove in living room, gas fireplace in family room, very large 'mudroom' for boots (with a boot heater) and jackets, and even an authentic Tipi.
Picture windows and two large decks offer magnificent views in every direction! Front deck looks into mountain peaks and rear deck faces National Forest. Secluded from view from other houses, the Blue River Lodge is nestled in Aspen and Pine, borders National Forest, ten minutes from Breckenridge with quick access to the ski areas of Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, A-Basin and Vail. The Blue River Lodge is also close to world class golfing, shopping, back-country trails for hiking and biking, rafting, and gold medal flyfishing. Please note that our driveway is professionally plowed each time it snows but a 4WD vehicle is still required in winter (not just for our driveway but for driving in general in Colorado during the winter season - Colorado has laws requiring either 4WD or chains during storms).

Summary: We had an excellent time in Breckenridge and the house was perfect. It had a great layout for our needs, the bunk room perfect for teens. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We loved the hot tub and outdoor sauna. Our most memorable eve was our last night roasting marshmallows surrounded by snow in the teepee! Chris responded to all our questions quickly and was an excellent host. Yes, you do need a 4WD during the winter months!

Summary: Perfect! This was our 4th year staying at this property and it is our favorite. Well stocked kitchen, clean, comfortable beds, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, fire pit, tree house, teepee, privacy, backs to national forest! It has everything a family could want. There is a nice hidden double bed connected to the master bedroom that has been converted into a sleeping area instead of walking closet. This would be perfect for a family with a smaller child. The location is an easy 10 min drive from ski slopes and downtown Breckenridge. In winter months, I recommend 4 wheel drive if possible.

Summary: Loved the property and all that came with the house! Kids loved the hot tub and exploring in the woods behind the home! It was nice to stay on the outskirts of Breck but still conveniently located to get into town easily. Also close to many 14ners. Chris was a great help as well and a great host!

Summary: My family and our friends with their family spent our Spring Break at this beautiful home. The home was close enough to town that made our trips to the town and mountain painless, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle that we had all the privacy we needed. The house was well kept and equipped with everything we needed to make for an enjoyable stay. Communication with the owner was easy and he was readily available with any questions we had. There was plenty of space for the kids to do their thing and the adults to have their time as well. We spent every evening either in the spacious hot tub or just sitting around the living area enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. We were especially excited to make friends with Sox the Fox, which showed up every evening at the back door. The kids loved seeing the wildlife so up and close. I was able to even catch a sneak glimpse of an American marten that had a burrow on the side of the house. This was a wonderful trip for our families and would absolutely book again!

Summary: Awesome cabin! We had 9 people (me, my wife, son (9), and daughter (12)), my brother's family (brother, SIL, nephew (4), and niece (18 months), and our mother (75) stay for five days over President's Day weekend for a ski trip to Breck. The cabin was more than enough room for all of us, was beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and very well equipped. We loved it. Location was great -- a drive into Breck, but not too far -- and great snow shoeing and sledding near the house. Owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Highly recommend.

Summary: Everything about the property was amazing. Although it was a ski trip and we could have stayed at the house and had plenty to do. No complaints!

Summary: We have stayed in Breck numerous times. We loved this property and even had the pleasure of having a glass of wine with the owner. It is a private location fairly close to town but secluded to avoid the crowds. We also saw a Pine Marten which we heard was rare. I would most definitely go back! Loved it.
